Inaugural food festival debuted on the anniversary of the Women’s March in January 2021 with the goal to help drive business and raise funds for a grant to Her business in response to the pandemic. Executed within just 6 weeks, nearly 100 female-owned restaurants and women-run food & beverage brands came together to offer 85 events across Los Angeles County to offer unique collaborations with other female chefs, thematic menus, one-on-one conversations among female industry leaders, and more. The synergy among these women sparked the RE:Her movement and has since spread quick and wide with expansion of Chapters into other regions who now host the annual festival and event activations to celebrate Her.
