Lydia Clarke

Lydia Clarke comes from an eclectic background as a professional figure skater, painter, and dog wrangler before coming back to her family dairy roots and making a career in cheese. Her work in theory and design for the MOMA and private projects led her from New York to Paris to Napa then back to Los Angeles where she opened a cheese + wine store with her sister, Marnie, in Claremont, California in 2010. On the heels of the success of their first store she, along with her sister and Chef Reed Herrick opened DTLA Cheese and Kitchen in the historic Grand Central Market in 2013. Lydia has developed and designed cheese programs for restaurants and chefs around Los Angeles and creates stunning and elaborate cheese installations for all occasions. Her love for flavor and excitement about cheese will inspire you to celebrate the beauty in every cheese!
